Company Command
Tasks
A large number of SWISSCOY personnel are assigned to two companies: the Support Company (Sup Coy) and the Transport Company (Tpt Coy). The company commands are responsible for planning, directing and supervising the personnel, materiel and operational capabilities of their units. They ensure that national tasks in support of the Swiss contingent and operational services in support of KFOR are provided in line with the situation and the mission.
The Sup Coy consists of a logistics platoon and an engineer platoon. The counter-UAV detachment is also integrated into the Sup Coy. The Tpt Coy is responsible for all KFOR transport tasks. Its services include the transport of personnel and materiel in support of all troop-contributing nations. In addition, it has the capability to recover vehicles. Elements of both companies contribute to ensuring Freedom of Movement (FoM), one of KFOR’s main tasks, as part of the mission’s Mobility Support Detachments (MSD).
